Security Technical Specialst Senior- Security Technical Specalist Lead
This position is posted in a range from Security Specialist Senior to Security Specialist Lead. Note: Education and/or relevant experience will be used to determine the appropriate salary and salary grade level.
Position Summary: Position responsibilities will vary depending on the candidate’s prior experience knowledge and abilities. Responsible for selecting, implementing, and maintaining primarily network-based security systems. Assists in gathering, investigating, and analyzing security requirements, processes, and incidents. Develops and maintains detailed documentation of security systems, projects, and/or processes to ensure unified understanding of system details. Directly involved in implementation, support and usage of technical solutions. A successful candidate will understand how networks and endpoints interact on intranets and on the Internet.
Participates in security incidents/projects; directs security assignments.
Assist in coordinating some work assignments of lower level team members within the group. Contributes to the creation of a climate in which people want to do their best.
Develop and present security documents and reports clearly, concisely, and effectively. Adjust and translate delivery style to fit the audience.
Identifies, clarifies, resolves, and initiates solutions to security problems that involve analysis of inadequate or conflicting data.
Formulates questions and seeks clarification before analyzing or applying security measures.
Produces status reports with minimal guidance from higher level team members. Maintains an awareness of time constraints for work activities; makes appropriate adjustments when needed.
Actively participates in team initiatives and meetings by preparing, making contributions and following through on agreements.
This position could be required to do shift work or be “On call” 24x7x365.

Security Technical Specialist Senior:
This position typically has a Bachelors degree in computer science/cyber or related field or completed a cyber security rotation program and 4 to 6 years of related security experience OR 2-4 years related military/government security experience. Alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated in a technical interview/assessment) and correspondingly more work experience.
Security Technical Specialist Lead:
This position typically has a Bachelors degree in computer science/cyber or related field or completed a cyber security rotation program and 7 to 9 years of related security experience OR 5-8 years related military/government security experience. Alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated in a technical interview/assessment) and correspondingly more work experience.
Strong knowledge of networks and network protocols is mandatory
Willingness to stay up to date on the rapidly changing cybersecurity world
Able to work as part of groups consisting of the team and as part of ad hoc working groups
Should be able to train and assist front line personnel on the usage of security solutions
Will assist in security incident response and resolution.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Experience in enterprise data centers preferred
